I have had the opportunity to sit down with one of the head talents at Beach Lane Books, and it’s not surprising that this book is one of their babies. They have extremely high standards for what they publish and books like this are the result!

This is the hilariously comical tale of life through a big sister’s eyes. Sophie Peterman doesn’t like babies, and she is certainly truthful about that!  Told in first person, Sophie takes us through all the reasons why you shouldn’t want a baby brother or sister. You and your child will be laughing out loud as you read this book. As the story progresses however, Sophie’s baby brother grows, and grows on her…in her words, “you might actually start to like him.”

A page turner from the start, this is a book you won’t mind reading every night when your child ritualistically pulls it off the shelf. The illustrations are vibrant and great!
